I've had weird dreams all my life: I've robbed the food court at the mall, and then felt so guilty that I tried to give all the money back before they could arrest me; I've beat the crap out of multiple people; I've been able to run/jump so well that my feet only touched the ground at each telephone pole; I've been eaten by a mechanical spider; Dinosaurs have visited me; My teeth have fallen out; I've startled myself awake before by screaming or shaking; the list goes on and on.
But never, NEVER, until last night have I physically hurt myself while sleeping. This was not just that I slept wrong and was sore somewhere...no, no, that would be too normal. No, I was dreaming about smacking someone behind me in the face (violent dreams, I know) and my arm responded and my hand hit the headboard and now my hand is bruised below my thumb. It's also a little swollen and very sore.
The majority of you already knew I was weird, right? And for those of you who didn't....don't judge me - you haven't been translated yet either. :)

My husband (who would torture me if he knew I was sharing this) often plays ball in his dreams, so he will shuffle his feet like he is running in place or he'll kick, like he's kicking a soccer ball.
The first week of our marriage he hit me in his sleep. Now I have learned to sleep with one eye open!
That's really great. I'm glad I'm not the only one.
One time I was dreaming that I was fighting someone and as I elbowed the person in the face, I physically elbowed my wife in the head.
Luckily you didn't hit your husband... he'd probably continually remind you of it.
Since we're sharing stories about husbands... Brandon was working at the refinery where almost everyone smokes but NO ONE is smart enough to actually smoke on the "smoke pad" where they have decided it's safe. at a refinery. with oil products everywhere.
Anyway, one night he woke me up in his sleep shaking my arm and yelling "SMOKE ON THE SMOKE PAD, *#&^!@"
I couldn't stop laughing when he denied it over and over later.
You crack me up...I'm obviously feeling really insecure lately or something because I keep dreaming about clothes issues or a lack of clothes, yikes!
