5.05.2011

I will be graduating from Eastern Washington University on June 11, 2011. I will be walking in the ceremony wearing gold cords representing that I have earned the right to graduate Summa Cum Laude, which at EWU means I have a cumulative gpa of 3.9 - 4.0. I didn't think that I would feel like participating in the actual graduation ceremony, but I really want to. I have worked very hard to get to this point and I think for me, graduation is a fantastic way to close this chapter of my life. It represents a new beginning for me and for our family, and I am so excited for it to begin.

The kids have been through a lot the past couple of years and we will be playing hard this summer to make up for it. Lots of time outside, down by the river, at parks, the lake, and traveling to see friends and family. I am just shy of one month to go....I can hardly wait!

Val-like you I went back to school with children. when I graduated from law school, I wanted to walk because I wanted my children to see that hard work makes dream come true- enjoy the day and celebrate both with and for them.

Congratulations! I agree with doing the ceremony. The kids deserve to see the culmination and celebrate, too!

I'm so glad you are graduating later in the year than WSU. Are you having a party?? Do I get to come???
